About the position

The Videographer will be an integral part of the Design/Creative Services team, responsible for planning, developing, and executing high-quality multimedia design solutions tailored to a diverse range of projects as defined by business users across the Company. This role encompasses various aspects of corporate services, branded content, and campaign/marketing content, ensuring that all produced materials align with the company's strategic vision and branding guidelines. In this position, the Videographer will draft creative ideas and concepts for presentation to project stakeholders, assisting in scriptwriting to translate brand messaging into concise, high-quality video scripts. The role requires active participation in content development, requirements analysis, and design, providing technical expertise throughout the process. The Videographer will also be responsible for generating innovative video concepts suitable for various social media channels, ensuring that the content is engaging and effective. The Videographer will lead selected projects through all phases of production, including creative development, pre-production, production (capture), and post-production editing. This includes utilizing professional lighting techniques and audio standards to enhance the quality of the final product. Post-production tasks will involve video editing with motion graphics, sound design, music selection, narration, image manipulation, and media integration. The Videographer will also guide the tagging, uploading, and distribution processes to maximize audience impact across multiple channels. Effective communication is essential in this role, as the Videographer will need to convey multimedia production details, including motion graphics and video/sound editing, to create concise and compelling stories. The individual will ensure that all design solutions are appropriate for the targeted audience, meet project-specific criteria, and reflect best practices for efficiency, ultimately adding substantial business value to the company. The role may require up to 10% travel for on-location video shoots, which can occur in various indoor and outdoor settings, including retail environments. The Videographer will also be responsible for operating and maintaining audio and video equipment, fulfilling the company's mission statement by delivering high levels of customer service and contributing positively to team dynamics. Special projects and other duties may be assigned as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Draft ideas and concepts for presentation to project stakeholders.
  • Assist with scriptwriting by translating brand messaging into concise, high-quality copy and video scripts.
  • Participate in content development, requirements analysis, and design while providing technical expertise.
  • Provide video concepts and ideas that are creative and appropriate for various social media channels.
  • Assist in leading selected projects through all phases of production including creative development, pre-production, production (capture), and post-production editing.
  • Utilize an understanding of professional lighting techniques and audio standards.
  • Post-production: video editing with motion graphics, sound design and music selection, narration, image manipulation, illustration, information architecture, and media integration, and distribution.
  • Help guide the tagging, uploading, and socialization/distribution process to several channels for maximum audience impact.
  • Provide effective communication on multimedia production including motion graphics and video/sound editing to capture concise and pleasing stories.
  • Ensure that design solutions are appropriate for the targeted audience, meet project-specific criteria, reflect company or department best practices for efficiency, and add substantial business value and support to Buckle's strategy and vision.
  • Operate and maintain audio and video equipment.
  • Fulfill mission statement by performing job duties with a high level of customer service while contributing to a positive team spirit.
  • Special projects and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with digital technology and editing software packages, including: Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, Illustrator, and Photoshop preferred.
  • Experience operating digital cinema cameras preferred.
  • Knowledge of online content management systems.
  • Institutional experience preferred.
