About the position

The Videographer position at Jacksonville Icemen & Zawyer Sports involves creating, filming, editing, and producing video content for various digital platforms. This role is integral to the marketing department, focusing on storytelling through video to promote the teams, players, and community partners. Candidates will work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects while adhering to brand standards and optimizing content for social media and websites.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with the marketing department and Zawyer leadership on brainstorming, developing, and driving video projects.
  • Film and edit original short and long form videos featuring stories about our Teams and Players, corporate and community partners.
  • Create hype videos, social media videos, foundation videos, client videos, and OTT/tv commercials.
  • Film at events, games, practices, and in the community.
  • Quickly assemble edits and implement notes from creatives and clients.
  • Adhere to Franchise brand standards and established voice across video projects.
  • Collaborate with team members to accomplish video goals while advancing business objectives.
  • Identify fresh and emerging opportunities to promote teams on digital platforms.
  • Optimize content for performance on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, and the company website.
  • Manage multiple projects with shifting timelines.
  • Apply data and analytics to adjust programming and content decisions.
  • Process, organize, and maintain video file organization within existing systems.
  • Operate various camera systems and ensure accurate equipment storage and upkeep.
  • Travel as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years experience in video production/video editing.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, focusing on Premiere and After Effects.
  • Experience creating and implementing motion graphics, color grading, and sound mixing.
  • Social media optimization experience (Facebook, TikTok, IG, Twitter, YouTube) preferred.
  • Experience directing on-camera talent.
  • Production experience with common high definition cameras.
  • Flexibility to work events including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong customer service orientation.
  • Knowledge of hockey and photography is a plus.
