About the position

The Videographer for the Queen Creek Unified School District is responsible for conceptualizing, producing, and packaging multimedia content to support the district's marketing, communications, and editorial needs. This role involves using industry-standard production techniques and equipment to create engaging visual content that promotes the district's initiatives and educates stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support QCUSD vision, mission, and goals.
• Design and produce a variety of outreach and educational materials to market and build the district's image.
• Coordinate with staff in developing ideas and produce graphic materials in support of projects.
• Process, edit, and retouch photographs for various mediums and formats.
• Implement and manage an archiving system for all photos and video.
• Conduct video production, including interacting with staff and community and operating video and audio equipment.
• Transport and set up lighting and audio equipment as required.
• Provide troubleshooting and maintenance of field production equipment, as well as training and assistance with multimedia/video management.
• Perform other specific job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in journalism, communication, or related field (photojournalism) preferred.
• Highly proficient in the use of Professional Video Production Equipment.
• Experience in graphic design, audio and video recording/editing.
• Highly proficient using the Adobe Creative Suite and Canva.
• Knowledge in set lighting and green screen use.
• Knowledge in social media/live vlogging, shooting/editing photos and videos, audio editing, and visual communications.
• Comfort with public speaking and small group training.
• Ability to multi-task and complete work accurately under deadline.
• Ability to represent QCUSD in a positive and professional manner.

• Experience in public education or a passion for public education.
