About the position

Language Trainers is seeking a freelance Vietnamese language teacher to provide one-to-one tuition for a beginner-level adult student in Chicago, IL. The role involves delivering a flexible 30-hour course consisting of 15 two-hour lessons, scheduled twice a week at the student's home or a nearby location. The ideal candidate should be a native speaker or hold a teaching degree, with relevant teaching experience and a valid working visa.

Responsibilities

• Conduct one-to-one Vietnamese language lessons for a beginner-level adult student.
• Create a flexible lesson plan that accommodates the student's availability and learning pace.
• Provide instruction in speaking, reading, and writing in Vietnamese.
• Assess the student's progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly.

Requirements

• Native speaker of Vietnamese or hold a teaching degree.
• Experience as a language teacher, translator, or interpreter.
• Valid working visa.
• Reside within 20 miles of the client's location.
