About the position

The Sales Representative at Nucor is responsible for fostering strong relationships with customers and teammates while actively participating in the company's culture. This role involves assisting in business development efforts, ensuring high standards of service through effective communication, and accurately estimating joist and deck requirements from contract documents. Safety is a paramount concern, and candidates are expected to uphold safety policies and practices at all times.

Responsibilities

• Build strong, durable, and loyal relationships with customers and teammates.
• Assist in business development efforts with steel fabricators, engineers, and architects.
• Ensure high standards of service through professional communication with internal and external customers.
• Accurately estimate joist and deck requirements from contract documents.
• Coordinate engineering, fabrication, and delivery of products.

Requirements

• 1 to 2 years' experience interpreting structural contract drawings.
• Personal computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Experience in reading architectural and structural drawings and project specifications.
• General understanding of the construction process.
• Experience with SAP.
• Willingness to relocate to a Nucor facility or District Sales Office in the future.
