About the position

The Vinsolutions Regional Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales of Vinsolutions products to franchise car dealerships within Texas. This role requires extensive travel (up to 75% of the time) to build and maintain relationships with dealership decision-makers, generate sales revenue, and provide insights on product offerings. The position emphasizes a consultative selling approach and aims to meet or exceed sales goals while reinforcing the value of Vinsolutions and Cox Automotive products.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the sales of Vinsolutions products to franchise car dealerships.
  • Generate and maximize sales revenue and increase customer base in the assigned territory.
  • Offer creative solutions to help dealers achieve their business objectives.
  • Provide insights on Vinsolutions products to internal partners regarding key dealer business challenges.
  • Reinforce the value of existing Vinsolutions and Cox Auto products.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Vinsolutions with dealers.
  • Use the Challenger-based selling approach to manage and close complex sales opportunities.
  • Utilize insight and consultative selling techniques to provide feedback to clients on industry trends and challenges.
  • Partner with client stakeholders to build consensus for Cox Automotive Retail Solutions products.
  • Independently and collaboratively strategize for solving deal-level challenges.
  • Discuss, present, and demonstrate key advantages of the Vinsolutions solution to customers.
  • Meet or exceed assigned monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue sales goals.
  • Backfill open territories or existing territories as needed.
  • Build trusted relationships with decision-makers at the dealership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 6 years of experience in a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of the automotive industry, especially automotive dealerships and the F&I process.
  • 5+ years of experience in software, advertising, or automotive software sales, including dealership software packages.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, relationship-building, collaboration, sales, and territory management skills.
  • Ability to use and interpret research and data to help customers find opportunities for improvement.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and multi-tasking skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree and 4 years of experience; a Ph.D. and 1 year of experience; or 10 years of experience in a related field.
  • Knowledge of comparable dealership software packages (CDK, Reynolds and Reynolds, DealerSocket, etc.) and finance software (RouteOne and others).
  • Self-motivated and disciplined with an energetic, engaging personality.
