About the position
El Paso Music Learning Corner is seeking a talented and passionate violin instructor to provide high-quality violin instruction to students of all ages and skill levels. This part-time, contract position offers flexible hours and the opportunity to contribute to the music community in El Paso, which has been educating students for nearly three decades.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized lesson plans based on student's goals, abilities, and interests
- Teach proper violin technique, music theory, and sight-reading
- Select appropriate repertoire for students to practice and perform
- Prepare students for recitals where they can showcase their progress
- Collaborate with parents to ensure open communication and support student's musical development
Requirements
- Proven experience teaching violin to students of all ages, with a focus on children
- Strong knowledge of music theory and violin teaching methods
- Proficiency in playing the violin across various genres and styles
- Ability to manage a private classroom environment and engage students effectively
