About the position

The Virtual Account Representative at Univar Solutions is responsible for managing existing business relationships within an assigned customer base, focusing on achieving sales quotas through proactive engagement. This role involves implementing sales calls, securing repeat orders, and identifying growth opportunities while collaborating with customers to provide tailored solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Implement sales calls via phone, email, or video chat with potential customers.
  • Ensure existing business is secured through collection of repeat orders.
  • Establish relationships to identify business challenges and present findings to the appropriate sales channel.
  • Manage sales opportunities using Salesforce.com.
  • Ensure customers have competitive pricing to secure existing business and capture information on additional product offering opportunities.
  • Use knowledge of customer business needs and Univar's Channel strategy to identify growth opportunities and facilitate account transfers.
  • Collaborate with customers to provide solutions to Univar's self-servicing options.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
  • 2+ years of sales experience in a B2B environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to develop strong business relationships with customers and internal teammates.
  • Well-honed listening and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent digital literacy including Microsoft Suite and CRM platforms such as Salesforce.com.

Nice-to-haves

  • CASE experience is a plus.
