About the position

The Virtual Assistant position is designed for a self-starter who can assist a startup focused on refurbishing and reselling used furniture, as well as providing transport and moving services. The role involves a mix of technical support, marketing, and business development tasks, with a strong emphasis on customer service and teamwork. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various computer-related tasks, including technical assistance, documentation, and potentially helping with furniture moving.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical assistance and support for incoming calls and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware.
  • Respond to end users seeking help with technical issues.
  • Perform virus and malware cleanup.
  • Take pictures and upload them to the company website.
  • Assist with various computer work and other tasks as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to keep them informed of progress and notify them of changes.
  • Document client system information and internal processes.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license.
  • Experience with Office 365 and OneDrive.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Strong computer skills and familiarity with technology.
  • Ability to troubleshoot unfamiliar technology.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with advanced technical support at the network level.
  • Knowledge of WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and security.
  • Familiarity with terminating, testing, and troubleshooting of Cat 5e/6 cabling.
