About the position

As a Virtual Banking Assistant in Consumer Banking at JPMorgan Chase & Co., you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service and building meaningful relationships with clients. This position is not remote, and you will be expected to engage with clients both over the phone and through video calls, providing them with tailored financial advice and solutions. Your primary goal will be to help clients understand their financial needs and guide them in making informed decisions about their money. You will embody the company's Customer Promise by ensuring that clients feel valued and appreciated, acting as their advocate in navigating financial products and services. In this role, you will operate within established risk parameters and compliance obligations, ensuring that you meet all internal and external requirements. You will be responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience by adopting a client-first attitude and collaborating with team members across various lines of business. Your communication skills will be essential as you engage with clients in a professional and organized manner, providing thorough follow-up and support. You will also be expected to demonstrate initiative by proactively addressing potential issues for clients and adapting to the dynamic environment of the Virtual Branch. Your ability to educate clients about technology solutions and tailor financial options to meet their unique needs will be key to your success in this position. Responsibilities

  • Engage with clients over the phone and video to provide strong customer service and financial advice.
  • Operate within established risk parameters and compliance obligations, completing required training.
  • Deliver exceptional customer experiences by acting with a client-first attitude and collaborating with team members.
  • Exhibit excellent communication skills in person, over the phone, and through email, ensuring thorough and organized follow-up.
  • Provide financial options for clients using a consultative approach, educating them on technology solutions and product features.
  • Build lasting relationships with clients by sharing advice, product knowledge, and solutions confidently.

Requirements

  • High school degree, GED, or foreign equivalent.
  • 6+ months of customer service experience.
  • Ability to work Virtual Branch hours, including evenings and some weekends.

Nice-to-haves

  • College degree or military equivalent.
  • Experience in retail banking, financial services, or a consultative customer relationship role.
  • Strong desire and ability to influence, educate, and connect customers to technology.
