About the position

As a Virtual Banking Assistant II in Consumer Banking, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the customer experience by managing a diverse portfolio of client banking relationships. Your primary focus will be on building lasting relationships with our customers and employees, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued. In this role, you will work closely with various specialists, including Private Client Advisors, Mortgage Bankers, and Business Relationship Managers, to connect customers with the right experts for their specialized financial needs. Your responsibilities will include managing banking relationships through an advice-based approach, ensuring that each client receives the best products and services tailored to their individual needs. You will demonstrate success by employing a value-added, relationship-oriented approach to acquire and deepen client relationships, making personal connections, and establishing trust through effective communication. Additionally, you will proactively prevent problems for clients and adapt to the ever-changing environment of the banking industry. By sharing and setting up self-service options, you will help clients access their accounts conveniently, 24/7. This position requires a strong commitment to customer advocacy and the ability to listen and respond to client needs effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Manage banking relationships through an advice-based approach, ensuring clients receive the best products and services for their needs.
  • Demonstrate success using a value-added, relationship-oriented approach to acquire and deepen client relationships.
  • Make personal connections, engage and educate customers, and establish trust through open-ended questions and active listening.
  • Partner with specialists, including Private Client Advisors, Mortgage Bankers, and Business Relationship Managers, to connect customers to experts for specialized financial needs.
  • Engage clients over the phone and video, providing strong customer service and advice to meet their financial needs.
  • Proactively prevent problems for clients and maintain success in a dynamic environment.
  • Share and set up self-service options for clients to access their accounts 24/7.

Requirements

  • 1 year of Banker or equivalent experience in financial services, with verifiable success in new client acquisition and maintaining customer relationships.
  • High school degree, GED, or foreign equivalent.
  • Outstanding financial planning skills and adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory banking requirements.
  • Strong team orientation with a commitment to a long-term career with the firm.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work Virtual Branch hours, including weekends and some evenings.
