About the position

As a Virtual Banking Assistant in Consumer Banking, you will play a crucial role in the success of the Virtual Branch by providing exceptional customer service and support to clients. Your primary responsibility will be to build and maintain long-lasting, meaningful relationships with clients by engaging with them to understand their specific financial needs. You will help clients experience our Customer Promise by assisting them in making the most of their money, which in turn allows them to enhance their lives. This will involve providing tailored education and advice that suits their financial circumstances. In this position, you will engage clients through phone and video communications, both inbound and outbound, ensuring that they feel appreciated and valued. You will act as an advocate for your clients, proactively preventing problems and addressing their needs in a dynamic environment. Your role will require you to operate within established risk parameters and compliance obligations, ensuring that you complete all required training while quickly learning about the products, services, and procedures relevant to your role. You will be expected to deliver an exceptional customer experience by adopting a client-first attitude, collaborating with team members and other lines of business to provide the most appropriate solutions. Excellent communication skills are essential, as you will need to convey information clearly and professionally, whether in person, over the phone, or through email. You will also need to demonstrate confidence when sharing advice and product knowledge, making personal connections with clients, and building lasting relationships.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • High school degree, GED, or foreign equivalent.
  • 6+ months of customer service experience.
  • Ability to work Virtual Branch hours, including evenings and some weekends.

Nice-to-haves

  • College degree or military equivalent.
  • Experience in retail banking, financial services, or a consultative customer relationship role.
  • Strong desire and ability to influence, educate, and connect customers to technology solutions.
  • Professional, interpersonal, thorough, detailed-oriented, and organized with follow-up skills.
