About the position

As a Virtual Banking Assistant in Consumer Banking, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the customer experience by building and maintaining long-lasting, meaningful relationships with clients. This position is not remote; you will engage with clients over the phone and through video, both inbound and outbound, to provide exceptional customer service. Your primary responsibility will be to understand clients' specific financial needs and help them make the most of their money, thereby improving their lives. You will be expected to deliver on our Customer Promise by providing tailored education and advice that suits their financial situations. In this role, you will operate within established risk parameters and compliance obligations, ensuring that you complete all required training while quickly learning about our products, services, and procedures. You will be proactive in preventing problems for clients and will need to adapt to an ever-changing environment. Your ability to communicate effectively—whether in person, over the phone, or through email—will be essential. You will need to exhibit a client-first attitude, collaborating with team members and other lines of business to offer the most appropriate solutions to clients. Your success will depend on your drive, initiative, and knowledge to provide financial options for clients using a consultative approach. You will educate clients about technology solutions and tailor the features and benefits of our products and services to meet their diverse needs. Building personal connections and engaging with clients will be key to your role, as you will be expected to share advice and product knowledge confidently, fostering lasting relationships.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • High school degree, GED, or foreign equivalent.
  • 6 months of customer service experience.
  • Ability to work Virtual Branch hours, including evenings and some weekends.

Nice-to-haves

  • College degree or military equivalent.
  • Experience in retail banking, financial services, or a consultative customer relationship role.
  • Strong desire and ability to influence, educate, and connect customers to technology solutions.
  • Professional, interpersonal, thorough, detailed-oriented, and organized with follow-up skills.
