About the position

The Virtual Bookkeeper position at Ledger Pros is a part-time role focused on providing virtual accounting and payroll services to small businesses in the Puget Sound region. The ideal candidate will possess strong computer skills and be organized, self-directed, and capable of learning new accounting systems quickly. This role offers flexible hours, allowing for a work-life balance while meeting the accounting needs of clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide accounting services including payroll, reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, reports, and local filings.
• Maintain accountability to the company's primary objectives through effective service delivery.
• Follow up with clients during the day to ensure their accounting needs are met.
• Prepare and manage inventory accounting and construction accounting as needed.

Requirements

• 5+ years of payroll experience.
• 10 years of bookkeeping experience.
• Strong accounting knowledge and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks (both Enterprise and Online) and Intuit Payroll.
• General computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Bill.com
• Experience in property management accounting.
• Ability to write and follow written procedures.
