About the position

The Virtual Business Tax Accountant at Intuit is a seasonal role focused on providing expert guidance and tax preparation services to customers using TurboTax Business products. The position requires managing complex business tax returns for Partnerships and S Corporations while ensuring compliance with federal and state tax laws. The role emphasizes customer service, communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced virtual environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance and tax preparation for business tax returns using TurboTax Live Business.
• Manage complex business tax returns for Partnerships and S Corporations.
• Interact with customers through video and audio tools to assist with tax-related inquiries.
• Document customer interactions and ensure high-quality customer experiences.
• Utilize government websites and professional resources to deliver accurate tax advice.
• Participate in pilot testing and projects as needed.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in business tax preparation, specifically for federal and state business tax returns (1065 and/or 1120-S).
• Active unrestricted credential: EA (Enrolled Agent), CPA (Certified Public Accountant), or Practicing Attorney.
• Minimum of 2 seasons of personal tax preparation experience, with at least 30 tax returns per year.
• Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations for business and personal tax returns.
• Proficient with technology and commercial tax preparation software.

Nice-to-haves

• Bookkeeping experience with books to tax preparation.
• Experience preparing business tax returns for service industry customers.
• Ability to obtain related state licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds.
