About the position

The Virtual Business Tax Accountant at Intuit is a seasonal role focused on providing expert guidance and tax preparation services to customers using TurboTax Business products. The position requires managing complex business tax returns for Partnerships and S Corporations, while also contributing to the development of new product offerings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business tax preparation, excellent communication skills, and an active CPA or EA credential.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex business tax returns for Partnerships and S Corporations.
• Provide expert guidance and explanations of tax and technical terms to customers.
• Assist TurboTax Business customers with tax advice and full-service business return preparation.
• Utilize video communications software to interact with customers professionally.
• Document customer interactions and ensure high-quality customer experiences.
• Work towards meeting company key performance metrics and goals.
• Participate in pilot testing, projects, and experience validations as needed.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience preparing federal and state business tax returns (1065 and/or 1120-S).
• Active unrestricted credential: EA (Enrolled Agent), CPA (Certified Public Accountant), or Practicing Attorney.
• Minimum of 2 seasons of personal tax preparation experience, with at least 30 tax returns per year.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
• Proficient with technology and commercial tax preparation software.
• Strong customer service skills and excellent communication abilities.

Nice-to-haves

• Bookkeeping experience with books to tax preparation.
• Experience preparing business tax returns for service industry customers.
• Ability to obtain related state licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds.
