About the position

The Virtual Business Tax Associate at Intuit is a seasonal role focused on providing expert guidance and tax preparation services to customers using TurboTax Business products. The position involves managing complex business tax returns for Partnerships and S Corporations, while also contributing to the development of new product offerings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business tax preparation and excellent communication skills, working towards the company's mission of Powering Prosperity Around the World.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance and tax preparation for business tax returns.
• Manage complex business tax returns for Partnerships and S Corporations.
• Assist customers with tax advice and full-service business return preparation.
• Utilize video communications software to interact with customers.
• Document customer interactions and ensure high-quality customer experiences.
• Meet company key performance metrics and participate in pilot testing and projects.

Requirements

• Strong business tax preparation experience with 3 or more years of recent experience preparing federal and state business tax returns (1065 and/or 1120-S).
• Minimum of 2 seasons of personal tax preparation experience, with at least 30 tax returns per tax year.
• Commit to a minimum schedule of at least 20 hours/week throughout the tax season.
• Bookkeeping experience with books to tax preparation is preferred.
• Must possess or be able to obtain any related state licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds.
• Active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN) required.
• Working knowledge of Circular 230.
• Proficient with technology and solid knowledge of computer operations and software.
• Strong customer service skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Critical thinking, problem solving, and research skills.
