About the position

The Virtual Business Tax Associate at Intuit is a seasonal role focused on providing expert guidance and tax preparation services to customers using TurboTax Business products. The position involves managing complex business tax returns for Partnerships and S Corporations, while also contributing to the development of new product offerings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business tax preparation and excellent communication skills, ensuring customer satisfaction and compliance with tax laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance and tax preparation for business tax returns.
• Manage complex tax returns for Partnerships and S Corporations.
• Assist customers with tax advice and filing extensions.
• Create high-quality customer interactions using video communication tools.
• Document customer interactions and maintain records of services provided.
• Participate in pilot testing and projects as needed.

Requirements

• Strong business tax preparation experience with 3+ years of recent experience preparing federal and state business tax returns (1065 and/or 1120-S).
• Minimum of 2 seasons of personal tax preparation experience, with at least 30 tax returns per year.
• Commit to a minimum schedule of at least 20 hours/week during the tax season.
• Bookkeeping experience preferred, especially with books to tax preparation.
• Must possess or be able to obtain related state licenses and an active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN).
• Proficient with technology and solid knowledge of computer operations and software.
• Strong customer service skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Critical thinking, problem-solving, and research skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience preparing business tax returns for service industry customers.
• Knowledge of Circular 230.
