About the position

The Virtual Card Processor at BILL is a key role within the Virtual Card Operations team, responsible for identifying and implementing enhancements to virtual card payment processes. This position focuses on improving payment delivery, efficiency, and success rates while collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize operations. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in payment processing to resolve complex issues, recommend process improvements, and contribute to the overall success of the team and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, implement, and recommend virtual card enhancement opportunities regarding people, process, technology, and product.
  • Research vendors' available payment options and successfully deliver previously unsuccessful payments.
  • Analyze and resolve complex payment processing issues, identifying patterns or potential systemic issues.
  • Recommend and assist with implementing process improvements for daily payment operations within the virtual card team.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert on Virtual Card payment methods, addressing questions and escalations.
  • Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams to enhance team processes and procedures.
  • Document best delivery practices at the vendor level and provide recommendations to optimize payment distribution.
  • Continuously innovate for process improvements and update the instructions database based on new insights.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of four years of education, training, and/or work-related experience.
  • 2+ years of experience with payment processing.
  • Demonstrated experience using multi-channel telephony technologies, such as chat, web-portal, and phone.
  • Ability to juggle multiple high-priority tasks and hold oneself accountable for ownership and deadlines.
  • Prior experience with coaching team members around soft skills, policies, processes, and workflows.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience with G-Suite platform is preferred.
