About the position

The Virtual Care Analyst at UC San Diego Health is responsible for providing application analysis, strategy, system build, analytics, and general support for the Virtual Care Technical Team. This role focuses on developing and maintaining core Virtual Care products, including eSitter solutions and Telemedicine Applications, while collaborating with analytics teams to support the Virtual Care program through effective data modeling and application support.

Responsibilities

• Provide application analysis and support for Virtual Care products.
• Develop and maintain core Virtual Care applications such as eSitter and Telemedicine solutions.
• Collaborate with analytics teams to identify data models that support the Virtual Care program.
• Design, build, test, and implement applications and data models within the clinical application system.
• Support clinical users by adapting software to meet their needs and providing troubleshooting assistance.
• Prepare detailed specifications encompassing clinical processes and information flow.
• Participate in an on-call support schedule to provide customer service and maintenance.

Requirements

• Seven years of related experience or a Bachelor's degree in a related area plus three years of related experience.
• Experience in healthcare technology focusing on clinical workflow build, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Proven success in information systems implementation and support within a large-scale healthcare organization.

Nice-to-haves

• Professional experience in clinical workflows and user interface optimization.
• Experience troubleshooting and configuring communication equipment and related software.
• Experience defining user requirements for complex systems and educating customers on application functionality.
• Experience collaborating with vendors to align solutions with clinical needs.
• Familiarity with Virtual Care Solutions such as AvaSure, Doximity, and Epic Native Video Visits.
• Experience with Tableau data visualization and willingness to become EPIC Data module certified.
