About the position

The Virtual Care Medical Assistant/Customer Service Representative at Premier Health Consultants LLC is responsible for providing high-quality patient-focused healthcare while adhering to company policies and procedures. This role involves direct patient care, administrative tasks, and ensuring compliance with clinical standards. The Medical Assistant will work under the supervision of a provider, performing various medical tasks and assisting with patient interactions to enhance the overall patient experience.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain appropriate clinical standards and follow company policies and procedures.
  • Recognize and respect patients' individual rights and cultural diversity.
  • Administer high-quality patient-focused healthcare, including triage, medication administration, and wound care.
  • Initiate patient education plans as prescribed by the physician.
  • Maintain clinical documentation and quality control logs as required by company policy.
  • Document all clinical patient care data accurately and efficiently.
  • Utilize company resources prudently and efficiently.
  • Assist nurses and providers during shifts, including maintaining clinic aesthetics and cleaning instruments.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities and staff educational programs.
  • Follow provided scripting for patient interactions and manage incoming calls appropriately.
  • Greet patients, collect insurance information, and enter patient data into the system.
  • Receive payments and perform accounting duties, including daily ledger balancing.

Requirements

  • Completion of a Medical Assistant program as per state requirements.
  • Medical Assistant diploma or nationally recognized certification.
  • Basic Life Support certification required.
  • Proficiency in EMR, Excel, and MS Word.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a clinical setting as a Medical Assistant.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to handle patient inquiries effectively.
