At CHI Health Creighton University Medical Center - Bergan Mercy, we are dedicated to providing patient-centered care in a supportive and healing environment. Our facility is a level I trauma center and academic medical center, offering a comprehensive range of medical services including trauma services, heart and vascular care, emergency services, surgery, maternity, cancer care, and diagnostic imaging. We are excited to introduce the Virtual Nurse role, a pioneering position that will play a crucial part in transforming the nursing scope of practice and fostering innovation within the nursing field. As a Virtual Nurse, you will have the opportunity to engage with staff, patients, and families in a new and impactful way, providing essential support to bedside staff and enhancing the overall patient experience. The Virtually Integrated CareSM (VICSM) model is a groundbreaking approach to care delivery that provides 24/7 virtual access to highly experienced registered nurses (RNs) for both patients and the bedside care team. This program is designed to improve patient experiences and support interprofessional care providers by alleviating time-consuming tasks such as charting, discharges, admissions, care coordination, and patient education. By integrating the virtual nurse into the care delivery model, we aim to reduce nurse turnover, enhance operational efficiency, and deliver unparalleled quality in patient care. As a Virtually Integrated CareSM RN at CommonSpirit Health, you will play a vital role in advancing professional practice by proactively supporting the interprofessional bedside team and the patients and families through virtual technology. Your contributions will significantly enhance the patient experience, ensuring that each individual receives the highest level of care. Additionally, you will positively impact staff morale by assisting with essential nursing functions, allowing frontline care teams to dedicate more time to their patients and families. Collaboration with interdisciplinary patient care teams, providing guidance and mentorship, and leading the plan of care will be key responsibilities in delivering exceptional outcomes for our patients. Your exceptional communication skills, positive attitude, and comprehensive knowledge of various diagnoses and situations will be crucial to your success as a highly skilled resource for on-site patient care teams. If you are passionate about delivering exceptional patient care and providing expert support to the bedside care team, this role could be the next step in elevating your professional practice and nursing career.
