About the position

The Virtual Chief Information Officer (vCIO) at Summit 7 is a pivotal role focused on providing technical sales expertise and guidance to clients in the IT industry, particularly in relation to compliance and security requirements. This position involves educating customers on IT capabilities, working closely with them to identify their business needs, and delivering tailored proposals. The vCIO will also be responsible for maintaining customer information in a CRM system and supporting the executive team with sales data and forecasts, all while striving to meet aggressive sales quotas.

Responsibilities

• Educates customers on the current state of IT with regards to capability, security, and compliance requirements.
• Works closely with new customers to identify business needs, desires, and requirements, providing written proposals and statements of work.
• Updates all customer information and opportunities in a CRM solution.
• Responds to and follows up on sales inquiries in a prompt, professional manner.
• Supports executive team by providing sales data, marketing trends, forecasts, and account analysis.
• Meets and exceeds an aggressive sales quota for both software and services.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Associates or bachelor's degree in a technical field, business or marketing, from a reputable institution or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience in the IT industry.
• Strong experience with the Microsoft Office Suite and a working knowledge of Office 365 and SharePoint.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on customer service.
• Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to pass an extensive background check.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working with Microsoft Office 365 and Microsoft Azure from a sales perspective.
• Knowledge of ConnectWise and Quosal.
• Ability to work independently and a strong desire for personal and professional development.
• Understanding of current security and compliance trends regarding DFARS 252.204-7012, NIST 800-171, and CMMC.
