About the position

The position involves integrating and collaborating with the onsite nursing and healthcare team to operate a centralized command center for WB and FM SEIRMC, focusing on addressing patient needs effectively. The role requires the assignment of beds and rooms to promote an efficient flow within the hospital, ensuring that patient care is optimized. The individual will facilitate various aspects of patient management, including admission, discharge, and transfer processes within their assigned areas. A key responsibility is to drive efficient bed turnover and throughput by assessing the availability and accessibility of rooms in the hospital, while maintaining the highest standards of care for patients.

Responsibilities

  • Integrate and collaborate with the onsite nursing and healthcare team.
  • Operate a centralized command center for WB and FM SEIRMC to address patient needs.
  • Assign beds/rooms to promote efficient flow of the hospital and optimize patient care.
  • Facilitate aspects of admission, discharge, and transfer for patients within assigned areas.
  • Drive efficient bed turnover and throughput by assessing availability and accessibility of rooms in the hospital.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • 3 to 5 years previous Med-Surg nursing experience including utilization of Electronic Medical Record.
  • Strong ability to multitask.
  • Current licensure in good standing as a Registered Nurse in the State of Iowa.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience with virtual technology platforms preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).
