About the position

As a Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) Drafter at TSP, you will play a crucial role in the design and visualization of various engineering projects. Your primary responsibilities will include designing, creating, and editing conceptual plans, renderings, and detailed drawings using Revit. These drawings must meet required specifications and support project visualization for executive approvals. You will work across multiple disciplines, including electrical, controls, mechanical, chemical/gas, civil, architectural, and structural, ensuring that all designs are accurate and compliant with company and national drawing standards. In addition to creating new designs, you will also be responsible for updating and incorporating new designs into existing facility models. This will involve collaborating with design and sustaining teams to edit or as-build drawings, as well as leading and managing Building Information Management (BIM) and Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) coordination efforts. You will support the management of project management software such as Autodesk BIM360, Build, and Navisworks, ensuring that all project components are effectively integrated and managed. Your role will also require you to assist in developing and maintaining object libraries, model components, and families in Revit. You will create drawings to support the installation of manufacturing tools and conceptual designs for new buildings or sites. This position demands a high level of technical expertise, creativity, and the ability to work independently while also collaborating with team members across various projects.

Responsibilities

  • Design, create and edit conceptual plans, renderings, and detailed drawings in Revit.
  • Work across multiple disciplines including electrical, controls, mechanical, chemical/gas, civil, architectural, and structural.
  • Design and layout equipment, piping, duct, electrical one-lines, and controls drawings.
  • Update and incorporate new designs into existing facility models according to company and national drawing standards.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining object libraries, model components, and families in Revit.
  • Create drawings to support the installation of manufacturing tools and for conceptual design of new buildings or sites.
  • Lead and manage Building Information Management (BIM) and Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) coordination efforts.
  • Support management of project management software such as Autodesk BIM360, Build, and Navisworks.

Requirements

  • Associates degree related to engineering, engineering technology, architecture, architectural technology, computer-aided design, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of Revit experience and related project experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of engineering design principles, P&IDs, technical drawings and plans.
  • General knowledge of facilities systems (mechanical, electrical, controls, etc.).
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight but with strong collaborative and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently and switch priorities as needed to manage tasks for multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to periodically participate in evening meetings with persons at overseas factories in different time zones.

Nice-to-haves

  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to create, monitor, and adhere to project schedules.
  • Knowledge and experience with semiconductor fabrication, assembly, and test processes and facilities.
