About the position

The Virtual Field Operations Manager at Global Refuge is responsible for leading and overseeing the regional virtual operations of the newly launched Virtual Reception & Placement (VR&P) program. This role involves managing case management and operations staff, ensuring quality assurance for client services, and developing strategic programs and funding. The manager will also be responsible for financial management and building relationships with community and service providers to support refugees and Special Immigrant Visa holders during their initial 90 days in the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of the VR&P regional program strategy and expansion of available referral services.
  • Oversee the operation of the regional VR&P program for refugee individuals and families, ensuring compliance.
  • Support and oversee the recruitment, hiring, and training of team members.
  • Monitor and adjust program budget in collaboration with finance staff and program directors.
  • Provide oversight and support of regional operation programming.
  • Complete regular reports for the funder and oversee spending and financials.
  • Work with Development and Outreach teams to create and execute fundraising strategies.
  • Foster relationships with local government, donors, media, and community partners.
  • Advocate on behalf of refugees, immigrants, and vulnerable populations in local communities.
  • Maintain communication with headquarters senior management and teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of professional work experience, including two years managing staff.
  • Experience working with refugees and immigrants, and knowledge of U.S. refugee and asylum law preferred.
  • Experience managing city, state, and federal grants.
  • Program management experience with monitoring and evaluation skills.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills for culturally competent client care.
  • Experience with budget management and financial oversight.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • International work or study experience and second language abilities are a plus.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage crises effectively.
  • Exceptional time management and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Strong decision-making skills and capacity to delegate.
