About the position

The Virtual Field Operations Manager at Global Refuge will lead the newly launched Virtual Reception & Placement (VR&P) program, providing essential case management services to refugees and Special Immigrant Visa holders during their initial 90 days in the U.S. This role involves overseeing regional operations, ensuring compliance, managing staff, and fostering community relationships to support program objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of the VR&P regional program strategy and expansion of available referral services.
  • Oversee the operation of the regional VR&P program for refugee individuals and families, ensuring compliance.
  • Support and oversee the recruitment, hiring, and training of team members.
  • Monitor and adjust program budget in collaboration with finance staff and directors.
  • Provide oversight and support of regional operation programming.
  • Complete regular reports for the funder and oversee spending and financials.
  • Work with Development and Outreach teams to create and execute fundraising strategies.
  • Foster relationships with local government, donors, media, and community partners.
  • Serve as an advocate on behalf of refugees, immigrants, and vulnerable populations.
  • Maintain open communication with headquarters senior management and teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of professional work experience, including two years managing staff.
  • Experience working with refugees and immigrants, and knowledge of U.S. refugee and asylum law preferred.
  • Experience managing city, state, and federal grants.
  • Program management experience with monitoring and evaluation skills.
  • Strong leadership experience and team-building skills.
  • Solid experience with budget management and financial oversight.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, financial systems, and database programs.
  • Valid insurance and a reliable vehicle for local travel.
