About the position

The Medical Assistant (CMA) position at Johns Hopkins Community Physicians involves providing high-quality care to patients in a Family Medicine/Internal Medicine practice. The role includes administering medications and immunizations, obtaining vital signs, maintaining inventory, and ensuring efficient patient flow. This full-time position requires completion of a Medical Assistant training program and certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and immunizations to patients.
• Obtain and record vital signs of patients.
• Maintain inventory of medical supplies and equipment.
• Ensure safe and efficient patient flow within the practice.
• Assist in various clinical tasks as required.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant Training Program preferred.
• Certified Medical Assistant certification required within 3 months of hire.
• Five or more years of applicable MA experience may substitute for formal training program.
• Valid CPR certification required upon hire and recertification every two years.
• Two years' experience in an ambulatory care setting preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in primary medical care settings.
