About the position

The position involves working as a Physical Therapist, Physical Therapy Assistant, or Speech Pathologist within Wellstar's Float Team, providing care across multiple facilities in a designated region. The role offers flexible self-scheduling and is focused on delivering high-quality patient care while fostering professional growth and collaboration within a supportive leadership environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services to patients in assigned facilities.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Participate in ongoing education and training opportunities.
• Support the Float Team by providing care in various Wellstar facilities as needed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent for PTA and graduation from an accredited physical therapy assistant program.
• Graduate from an accredited Speech Language Pathologist program and hold a Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology for SLP.
• Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program and hold a Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy for PT.
• Current licensure as a physical therapy assistant, speech language pathologist, or physical therapist in the state of Georgia.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association on the first day of employment.
• A valid Georgia Driver's license and private vehicle insurance.
• Minimum of 2 years of acute care and/or ICU experience for PTA and 2 years of Acute and/or Inpatient Rehab experience for PT.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a float team or multi-facility environment.
• Advanced certifications in physical therapy or speech language pathology.
