About the position

The Virtual Ocular Sales Manager is responsible for leading and directing sales and virtual marketing activities for Bausch + Lomb's Pharmaceutical brands. This remote role oversees a team of 9 Virtual Territory Managers across the U.S., focusing on hiring, training, and developing talent while ensuring operational capabilities and promotional activities are effectively executed. The position plays a crucial role in strategy development and implementation through collaboration with various cross-functional teams to achieve sales goals.

Responsibilities

  • Direct management and supervision of Virtual Territory Managers
  • Coaching, training, and development of team members
  • Attainment of district sales goals and key performance metrics
  • Fostering a positive and inclusive team culture
  • Conducting virtual field time with direct reports and customers
  • Biannual in-person visits for business planning and coaching
  • Allocation of resources and implementation of educational budgets and samples
  • Analysis and development of district business plans
  • Tracking lead/lag measures to set strategy with Virtual Territory Managers
  • Providing feedback on competitive market threats and opportunities
  • Working cross-functionally for operational efficiencies
  • Continuous improvement of product knowledge and management skills
  • Reviewing and auditing expense reports of Virtual Territory Managers
  • Monitoring adherence to compliance policies and procedures

Requirements

  • BA/BS in Business, Marketing, or related field
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • 5+ years of sales experience in a competitive market
  • Strong computer and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to travel overnight up to 20%
  • Prior sales management or people leadership expertise preferred
  • Experience in healthcare, specifically in the ophthalmic industry preferred
