About the position
The Virtual or Onsite School Psychologist position at VocoVision involves providing essential mental health support to students in Illinois, either remotely or onsite. The role focuses on conducting psychological assessments, offering counseling services, and collaborating with educational staff to enhance student well-being and academic success.
Responsibilities
- Conduct virtual psychological assessments and evaluations.
- Provide individual and group counseling to students via secure online platforms.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavioral intervention plans (BIPs).
- Offer crisis intervention and support to students in distress.
- Develop and deliver professional development workshops for educators and staff on mental health topics.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of student progress and interventions.
- Stay current with best practices in school psychology and virtual counseling.
Requirements
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field.
- Valid School Psychologist license in Illinois.
- Experience in a school setting, with a strong understanding of IEPs, BIPs, and school-based mental health services.
- Proficiency in using virtual communication tools and platforms.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a remote caseload effectively.
