About the position

The Virtual Physician Assistant at One Medical is responsible for providing high-quality virtual medical care to patients through telehealth visits, including triage calls, video appointments, and follow-ups. This role emphasizes collaboration with both virtual and in-office teams, continuous learning, and the application of clinical expertise to enhance patient care. The position requires a commitment to working flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to ensure 24/7 patient support.

Responsibilities

• Treat patients via tele-health visits, including telephonic triage calls, video visit appointments, and email follow-ups.
• Engage in continuous learning during weekly Clinical Rounds and through other modalities.
• Collaborate with both virtual and in-office teammates via daily huddles.
• Utilize specific clinical training to provide exceptional care to patients virtually.

Requirements

• Completed an accredited Physician Assistant program with a national certification.
• Currently licensed in California with the ability to obtain additional state licenses as needed.
• At least 2 years of experience in an outpatient primary care setting or urgent care/emergency medicine setting within the past 5 years.
• Ability to work weekday and weekend shifts, including every other Saturday and Sunday.
• Ability to work afternoons and evenings (10pm to 7am PT).
• Excellent clinical and communication skills.
