The Virtual Sales Assistant II will work under general supervision by Lincoln's Manager VSA and direction from assigned advisors, providing service to existing clients on non-solicited business and processing new business and financial/non-financial orders. This role requires advanced knowledge and skills obtained through experience and/or training to provide general support to assigned advisors and/or teams. The Virtual Sales Assistant will maintain direct contact with clients to facilitate meetings, conference calls, and deliver written research, acting as a liaison between various inter-departmental administrators. The position demands a high level of organization in a sometimes fast-paced environment to coordinate sales schedules, travel, marketing trips, client meetings, and general office management. Regular contact with internal and external customers is required to obtain, clarify, or provide facts and information. The Virtual Sales Assistant may lead the work of others and provide training, coaching, and mentoring to less experienced associates, while also performing various sales-related duties as directed with supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Point of contact for assigned advisors' clients with non-solicited business requests, providing prompt, efficient, and courteous service
  • Prepare and submit all paperwork including account opening applications, transfer forms, etc. for client meetings with advisor
  • Process financial and non-financial requests
  • Run reports, create mailing lists, produce letters, mail, or email to clients at advisor's request
  • Follow up on outstanding requests (e.g., transfers, withdrawals, death claims)
  • Assist advisors in resolving issues related to status action items
  • Support assigned advisors with the preparation and development of financial plans
  • Contact and work directly with clients and prospective clients to gather necessary financial information to prepare financial plans under direction from advisor
  • Support financial advisors' current clients through the annual review process by making and confirming appointments
  • Enter leads in CRM, send introductory emails to prospects, and contact referrals to make appointments
  • Manage the ongoing client review meeting process, including keeping the FA's calendar and setting meetings
  • Provide general support to assigned FAs and/or teams
  • Lead the work of others and provide training, coaching, and mentoring to less experienced associates if manager and SRVSA not available
  • Multi-task and prioritize under pressure
  • Perform other job duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Possess knowledge of the financial services industry
  • Experience with client database functions and Microsoft Office tools
  • Ability to navigate technology easily
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred (not required)
  • Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in a financial sales assistant position
  • Series 6/7 preferred (must obtain license within 6 months to retain employment)
