About the position

The Virtual Sales Representative at Univar Solutions is responsible for achieving monthly sales goals by engaging with prospective customers through various communication methods, including cold and warm calling, and in-person visits. This role focuses on establishing relationships, presenting value propositions, and closing new business opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction and account management.

Responsibilities

  • Implement sales calls via in person, phone, email or video chat with potential customers.
  • Establish relationships through consistent engagement and follow-up to develop and build sales opportunities.
  • Identify challenges and propose solutions using Univar's value proposition and supplier product offerings.
  • Develop and lead sales opportunities using Salesforce.com.
  • Negotiate pricing based on competitive landscape to earn business.
  • Close new business/product offerings to meet or exceed monthly sales quota.
  • Facilitate the transfer of accounts to account managers based on customer needs and Univar's Channel strategy.
  • Transfer relevant information for long-term customer satisfaction and contentment.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
  • 2+ years of sales experience in a B2B environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to develop strong business relationships with customers and internal teammates.
  • Well-honed listening and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective negotiation skills.
  • Excellent digital literacy including Microsoft Suite and CRM platforms such as Salesforce.com.

Nice-to-haves

  • CASE experience is a plus.
