About the position

The Virtual Server Administrator role involves managing and operating a virtualized Microsoft environment, ensuring system health through daily checks, patch management, and incident resolution. The position requires an active Secret Clearance and specific certifications in VMware, focusing on maintaining the performance and security of server operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage and operate a virtualized Microsoft environment.
• Perform daily system checks and respond to events in management tools.
• Conduct server patch management and notify representatives of performance issues.
• Perform system audit reviews and maintenance functions to ensure system health.
• Coordinate with other work centers to resolve incidents related to systems and infrastructure.
• Adhere to change control standards and procedures, problem resolution, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Utilize remote server management tools.

Requirements

• Active Secret Clearance
• Security+ certification
• Experience as a server administrator
• Proficiency in Windows and VMware
• Knowledge of systems engineering and Active Directory
• Experience with clustering, DNS, and DHCP
• VMware Certified Associate (VCA) certification
• VMware Certified Professional (VCP) certification within 6 months.
