About the position

The Virtual SLP Assistant position is a full-time role designed for paraprofessionals who are passionate about supporting students in a school-based environment. This role involves assisting Virtual Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) in managing classroom activities and providing tailored support to students with diverse needs, thereby enhancing the educational experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist Virtual SLPs in managing and supporting classroom activities.
• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with diverse needs.
• Implement behavior management strategies and support positive classroom dynamics.
• Help with lesson preparation, instructional activities, and administrative tasks.
• Communicate effectively with teachers, students, and parents to support educational goals.

Requirements

• Minimum 1+ years paraprofessional or special education experience required.
• Must possess one of the following: 48 completed credit hours of secondary education or Para Educator Certification.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are essential.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
