About the position

The Virtual Telemedicine Physician Assistant (PA-C) role at ExpressCARE involves providing care for minor illnesses in a fast-paced virtual environment. The position focuses on delivering accessible healthcare services to patients aged 3 months and older through video visits, ensuring convenience and efficiency in patient care. The role offers flexible scheduling options and is part of a supportive team led by advanced practitioner clinicians.

Responsibilities

• Provide virtual care for minor illnesses and injuries to patients aged 3 months and older.
• Conduct video visits with patients, ensuring a high level of care and patient satisfaction.
• Collaborate with supervising and collaborating physicians in Family Medicine.
• Monitor patient volume and adjust schedules to reduce clinician burnout.
• Participate in on-call coverage for sick or emergent situations.

Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years of experience as a clinician in Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine, with a preference for Emergency Medicine/Urgent Care experience.
• Valid PA Physician Assistant medical and osteopathic license, or ability to obtain one.
• Valid PA Nurse Practitioner medical license, or ability to obtain one.
• Must be board certified.
• Graduate of an accredited education program for Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants.
• Comfortable and licensed to see patients of all ages.
• Reliable, high-speed internet and a HIPAA compliant space for conducting virtual visits.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience in virtual care is preferred.
