About The Position

The Virtual Urgent Care Advanced Practitioner at ConvenientMD is responsible for providing high-quality medical care in a hybrid setting, combining in-clinic and telemedicine services. This role involves assessing patient health, administering diagnostic tests, and ensuring compliance with legal and professional standards while contributing to a consumer-centric experience in urgent care.

Requirements

• A Master's degree and certification by Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant certifying body is required.
• Must have and maintain a DEA license with no restrictions.
• BLS certified.
• Clinical experience in an emergency medicine, urgent care, or ambulatory care setting is preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with computerized information systems used in clinical management (EMR).
• Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations including HIPAA and OSHA.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to clinic's effectiveness by identifying patient care issues and recommending courses of action.
• Assesses patient health by interviewing patients and updating medical histories.
• Determines abnormal conditions by administering or ordering diagnostic tests and interpreting results.
• Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
• Instructs and counsels patients on therapeutic regimens and wellness promotion.
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures and regulations.
• Complies with legal and professional requirements by studying legislation and advising management.
• Maintains professional knowledge by attending workshops and participating in professional societies.
• Develops healthcare team staff by providing educational opportunities and experiential growth.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
