About the position
The Virtual Registered Nurse (Virtual RN) position at Trinity Health involves planning and providing professional nursing services in accordance with established standards and practices. This role requires the RN to work onsite at the Virtual RN Hub in Silver Spring, Maryland, and entails collaboration and communication to ensure optimal patient care through digital platforms. The position includes responsibilities from patient admission to discharge, emphasizing quality care and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Work onsite in the Virtual RN Hub in Silver Spring, Maryland.
- Collaborate and communicate with the Nursing Care Team to facilitate optimal patient care.
- Assess, plan, implement, coordinate, monitor, and evaluate the patient's plan of care from admission to discharge.
- Utilize clinical knowledge and critical thinking skills to support the plan of care.
- Ensure effective transitions of care across the continuum.
- Monitor quality metrics and ensure accurate documentation in the patient record.
- Perform roles as a mentor, clinician, educator, consultant/collaborator, and navigator.
Requirements
- Baccalaureate Degree in the Science of Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing.
- Current licensure by the Maryland State Board of Nursing or Compact State as a Registered Nurse.
- Minimum eight (8) years of experience in health condition management, including adult condition management.
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
