About the position
The Virtual Registered Nurse (Virtual RN) position at Holy Cross Health involves providing professional nursing services and standards of practice in a virtual environment while physically working on-site at the central HUB in Silver Spring, Maryland. This role requires collaboration and communication to facilitate optimal patient care through digital platforms, ensuring effective transitions of care and monitoring quality metrics.
Responsibilities
- Work onsite in the Virtual RN Hub at Silver Spring location.
- Collaborate and communicate with the Nursing Care Team to provide optimal patient care.
- Assess, plan, implement, coordinate, monitor, and evaluate the patient's plan of care from admission to discharge.
- Utilize clinical knowledge and critical thinking skills to support the plan of care.
- Ensure seamless transitions of care across the continuum.
- Monitor quality metrics specific to the department and ensure accurate documentation in the patient record.
- Perform roles of mentor, clinician, educator, consultant/collaborator, and navigator.
Requirements
- Baccalaureate Degree in the Science of Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing.
- Current licensure by the Maryland State Board of Nursing or Compact State as a Registered Nurse.
- Minimum eight (8) years of experience in health condition management, including adult condition management.
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
