About the position

The Vision Center Manager L3 is responsible for driving sales and ensuring effective merchandise presentation in the Vision Center. This role involves overseeing customer service approaches, community outreach programs, compliance with company policies, and the development of associates. The manager will also ensure the provision of quality eyewear and uphold the company's values and culture while fostering a diverse and inclusive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales in the Vision Center by ensuring effective merchandise presentation and competitive pricing.
  • Model and enforce proper customer service techniques to resolve customer needs and complaints.
  • Oversee community outreach programs and encourage associates to engage with the community.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations by analyzing reports and implementing safety controls.
  • Provide supervision and development opportunities for associates through hiring, training, and mentoring.
  • Consult with and educate customers on eyewear options, verifying prescriptions and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Coordinate job-related activities by developing relationships with stakeholders and supporting business initiatives.
  • Implement action plans to improve performance and ensure quality assurance in the Vision Center.

Requirements

  • Completion of 2 or more years of college OR 1 year's retail experience and 1 year's supervisory experience OR 2 years' general work experience including 1 year's optical experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current eligibility to work as an optician or apprentice optician under applicable state laws.
