DeVry University is seeking qualified Industry Professionals with a terminal degree to join our team as Visiting Professors for Business Intelligence, Database, or Analytics at our Sherman Oaks Campus. This role is designed for individuals who are passionate about higher education and eager to share their knowledge and experience with students in a practitioner-based learning environment. As an Adjunct Faculty member, you will be responsible for teaching day, evening, and/or Saturday classes, ensuring that students receive a high-quality educational experience that prepares them for careers in a rapidly changing technological landscape. In this position, faculty members will facilitate student learning by delivering educational courses and programs that align with DeVry University's standards. You will develop course syllabi and lesson plans, applying effective teaching techniques to achieve course and programmatic objectives. Participation in a comprehensive faculty training program and ongoing development activities is mandatory to maintain the highest quality of instruction. Faculty are expected to utilize appropriate technological tools for online learning, ensuring that course materials are accessible and engaging for all students. Your responsibilities will include organizing and regularly updating course materials, setting clear expectations for students, and providing timely feedback on assignments and exams. You will also be tasked with ensuring that the content and level of material on exams correspond to the course objectives, demonstrating fairness and consistency in grading. Additional duties may be assigned as needed, contributing to the overall success of the academic program.
