About the position

The Visiting Project Coordinator at the Hoopsick Lab will manage the daily operations of a federally-funded epidemiologic study focused on substance use and mental health. This role involves participant recruitment, data collection, and coordination with the Principal Investigator to ensure adherence to research protocols and effective communication among team members.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, screen, and schedule participants for annual data collection
  • Organize research activities and prepare manual of procedures
  • Oversee data collection and review, data cleaning, and data management
  • Assist with research dissemination activities
  • Coordinate with PI on lab policies and procedures, ensuring standard protocols are followed
  • Update manual of procedures and track certifications of team members
  • Assist with preparation and maintenance of IRB protocols
  • Assist with the preparation of semi-annual research performance progress reports
  • Communicate with investigators and research staff at collaborating sites
  • Perform other related duties as assigned, including preparation of intervention materials and participant compensation

Requirements

  • Master's degree in public health, community health, health administration, psychology, sociology, or related discipline from an accredited college or university
  • At least one year of research experience involving human subjects
  • Experience with participant recruitment/follow-up, data collection, and data management
  • Knowledge of standard project management processes and approaches
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Dependable and capable of working with large diverse teams

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with federally-funded research (e.g., NIH, CDC) coordination
  • Proficient with Stata and REDCap

Benefits

  • Full-time, benefits-eligible position
  • Competitive salary range of $58,000.00 to $67,000.00
