The Visits and Events Coordinator at Seattle Pacific University plays a crucial role in supporting the university's marketing and enrollment objectives by managing the campus visit program and overseeing the Welcome Team. The coordinator will be responsible for various aspects of the campus visit program, including transportation, campus tours, overnight stays, and appointments with faculty and staff. In addition to managing the campus visit program, the Visits and Events Coordinator will oversee the Student Ambassador program. This includes hiring, managing, and training student ambassadors who assist with campus visits, tours, housing, and events. Regular meetings and training sessions will be organized to enhance the overall campus visit experience. The Welcome Team, which handles incoming phone calls, emails, and admissions front desk inquiries, will also be managed by this position. The coordinator will be responsible for hiring, training, and scheduling Welcome Team interns to ensure that exceptional customer service is provided and accurate information is delivered to prospective students. The role also involves event coordination, where the coordinator will assist in organizing and leading various campus events such as Falcon Fridays, virtual events, and group visits. Evening and weekend availability is required during peak times throughout the year. The coordinator will work closely with campus partners to ensure that prospective students' visits are impactful and contribute to recruitment efforts. Additionally, the coordinator will engage with individuals from diverse backgrounds to expand and enhance visit programs for underrepresented and first-generation students, collaborating with the multicultural outreach team on outreach visits and events. Problem-solving skills are essential, as the coordinator will need to handle urgent and time-sensitive situations related to visits, often working with other departments to ensure smooth operations. Budget management is another key responsibility, as the coordinator will manage the budget for assigned events, the Ambassador Program, and the Welcome Team, negotiating with vendors as necessary.
