About the position

The Visual and Experiential Graphic Designer at Dhara Consulting Group plays a crucial role in producing graphic designs that cater to both print and electronic communications. This position involves creating promotional materials, advertisements, and instructional content that are disseminated through various media outlets. The designer will leverage advanced consulting skills and extensive technical expertise to develop innovative solutions for complex design challenges. The role requires working with minimal supervision, mentoring junior team members, and potentially supervising them as well. The designer will be responsible for supporting and leading creative teams in the development of high-quality brand materials, which include logos, product marketing collateral, and comprehensive brand guidelines. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing original brand identities and rebranding initiatives, utilizing industry-standard software such as Adobe Creative Suite, which encompasses Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and AfterEffects. Collaboration is key in this role, as the designer will work closely with marketers, copywriters, product managers, creative directors, and other designers to ensure cohesive and effective design outcomes. Additionally, the designer must possess the ability to articulate design decisions clearly and iterate on feedback efficiently. Managing multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines is essential, as is the capacity to think critically and develop cohesive strategies that drive design solutions. A portfolio showcasing previous work and design samples is required, along with the ability to obtain a Secret clearance, which is necessary for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Produce graphic designs for print and electronic communications, including promotions, advertisements, and instructional materials.
  • Support and lead creative teams in developing high-quality brand materials, including logos and product marketing.
  • Design and conceive original brand identities and rebrands.
  • Utilize industry-standard software for visual design, including Adobe Creative Suite.

Requirements

  • Experience supporting and leading creative teams to develop high-quality brand materials.
  • Experience designing and conceiving original brand identities and rebrands.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and AfterEffects.
  • Experience working with federal government clients.
  • Ability to articulate design decisions clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and think critically about design problems.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
