About the position

The Visual Communications Designer & Developer (VCD) is responsible for creating and developing visual communication solutions across various media, including print, digital, video, and web. This role focuses on enhancing brand messaging for clients, utilizing creativity and technical skills to produce engaging designs that inspire action from target audiences. The VCD collaborates with team members to ensure high-quality outcomes and continuous improvement in creative processes.

Responsibilities

• Review and research brand design and messaging goals for clients.
• Craft mood boards and concepts for visual projects.
• Develop final solutions for branding across print, digital, direct mail, collateral, displays, websites, and video including animation.
• Build and develop websites using agency tools and recommend new tools as needed.
• Focus on improving creative edge, process, and efficiency.
• Collaborate with creative and account service team members to achieve client results.
• Celebrate individual and team achievements while sharing knowledge and challenges with teammates.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in Graphic or Digital Design or related field, or equivalent visual design and management experience.
• High level of skill with Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe Premiere, and After Effects, as well as Figma.
• Knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, and typography for both print and digital.
• Experience in website development and WordPress skills.
• Strong working knowledge of experience design, brand development, digital platforms, and creative processes.
• Ability to lead projects from concept to completion and apply best practices in user interface and website design.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in front-end development (2 years preferred).
• Strong writing skills.
