About the position

The Visual Communications Designer & Developer (VCD) is responsible for creating and developing visual communication solutions across various media, including print, digital, video, and web. This role focuses on enhancing clients' brand messaging through innovative design and effective communication strategies, while collaborating with team members to achieve client goals.

Responsibilities

• Review and research desired brand design and messaging goals for each client.
• Craft mood boards and concepts for visual projects.
• Develop final solutions for branding, print, digital, direct mail, collateral, displays, websites, and video including animation.
• Build and develop websites using agency tools and recommend new tools as needed.
• Focus on improving creative processes and efficiency.
• Collaborate with creative and account service team members to achieve client results.
• Celebrate individual and team achievements while sharing knowledge and challenges.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in Graphic or Digital Design or related field, or equivalent visual design and management experience.
• High level of skill with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe Premier, After Effects) and FIGMA.
• Knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, and typography for both print and digital.
• Ability to storyboard or translate ideas to designers and develop innovative motion graphics solutions.
• Website development experience and WordPress development skills.
• Strong working knowledge of experience design, brand development, digital platforms, and creative processes.
• Ability to lead projects from concept to completion, applying best practices in user interface and website design for desktop and mobile.
• Effective communication skills, both orally and in writing.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in front-end development (2 years preferred).
• Experience in graphic design (3 years required).
