At Google, we follow a simple but vital premise: "Focus on the user and all else will follow." As a Visual Designer, you will play a crucial role in weaving together space, typography, color, iconography, and texture to help users successfully navigate our products. We believe that all of our products should be beautiful and accessible, and as part of the User Experience (UX) team, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of UX Designers, Researchers, Writers, Content Strategists, Program Managers, and Engineers. This collaboration is essential as we care deeply about the people who use our products and strive to create industry-leading user experiences from concept to execution. Your work will involve relying on user-centered design methods to craft innovative and inspired products that people love to use. You will collaborate closely with your design partners to leverage and evolve the Google design language, ensuring that our products are not only functional but also visually appealing. The UX team plays an integral part in gathering insights about user behaviors and perceptions, which will inform your design decisions. You will be expected to think holistically about the visual style of Google products and act as a driving motivator to unify its application across multiple surfaces and platforms. In this role, you will be responsible for designing one or more of Google's consumer-facing products, effectively communicating and presenting your ideas and designs to a cross-functional product development team. You will present the user interface visually to ensure that the information is easy to find, read, and understand. Your ability to prioritize and manage your workload will be crucial as you meet critical project deadlines and collaborate with peers and stakeholders across UX, Product Management, and Engineering to understand, challenge, and design features for users. User experience is at the forefront of how we create intuitive, innovative, and beautiful products that resonate with our users' needs, behaviors, and emotions.
