About the position

The Visual Designer for the Amazon Gift Cards team will play a crucial role in creating innovative designs for electronic and physical gift cards, packaging, web content, and advertising. This position focuses on leading the design process from concept to execution, ensuring a seamless and elevated gifting experience for customers. The designer will collaborate with various global teams and stakeholders to deliver high-impact visuals that enhance the customer experience across multiple platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end pipelines from concept to delivery.
• Quickly produce detailed comps and mockups in an iterative environment.
• Drive research and user testing to ensure data-backed design decisions.
• Develop style guides and design templates to optimize the product design process.
• Manage multiple projects while meeting tight deadlines.
• Work closely with printers to finalize large-scale projects.
• Stay current with industry trends and tools.
• Design creative marketing assets for Amazon and external placements.
• Maintain unwavering attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership.
• Apply usability principles to drive successful design outcomes.
• Communicate effectively with strong written and verbal skills.
• Design products tailored for diverse cultures and global marketplaces.

Requirements

• 5+ years of design experience
• Have an available online portfolio
• Experience working with agile development teams (agile/scrum/kanban)
• Experience in Adobe Creative Suite applications, with high proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Acrobat using macOS

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with e-commerce, search, social, and other major application types and their UX patterns
• Experience creating services and applications with multiple user touch points on different platforms and devices
