About the position

The Visual Designer on the Amazon Gift Cards Design team will lead the creation of innovative designs for electronic and physical gift cards, packaging, web content, and advertising. This role focuses on enhancing the customer gifting experience through compelling visuals and collaboration with cross-functional teams. The designer will be responsible for driving projects from concept to execution, ensuring that designs are informed by research and user testing, while maintaining a high creative standard.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end pipelines from concept to delivery.
• Quickly produce detailed comps and mockups in an iterative environment.
• Drive research and user testing to ensure data-backed design decisions.
• Develop style guides and design templates to optimize the product design process.
• Manage multiple projects while meeting tight deadlines.
• Work closely with printers to finalize large-scale projects.
• Stay current with industry trends and tools.
• Design creative marketing assets for Amazon and external placements.
• Maintain unwavering attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership.
• Apply usability principles to drive successful design outcomes.
• Communicate effectively with strong written and verbal skills.
• Design products tailored for diverse cultures and global marketplaces.

Requirements

• 5+ years of design experience
• Have an available online portfolio
• Experience working with agile development teams (agile/scrum/kanban)
• Experience in Adobe Creative Suite applications, with high proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Acrobat using macOS.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with e-commerce, search, social, and other major application types and their UX patterns
• Experience creating services and applications with multiple user touch points on different platforms and devices.
